An apparatus and method for quantitatively extruding food material is provided. The apparatus comprises a hopper (2), a frame (7) supporting the hopper and having a chamber (21) therein with first and second ports (9, 8) to which a nozzle (10) and a piston (25) are connected, and a food cylinder forming device (4-6).
